Hordes - Metamorphosis

Hi all!
It's been 3 months since my last update. Actually I was suppose to do this a month ago but I've been postponing it. Lazy me... Well, anyway. Last year, I did quite a lot of illustrations for Privateer Press's Hordes - Metamorphosis book. It's out now. So, I decided to post some of it. There are lots more but I'll probably publish them on my new website which is due this summer. (Hopefully) Here are five of them:

Couple of recent images

This is probably the last post of 2008 for me. It was a really busy year. Both at Lionhead Studios and home. I worked on Fable 2 and now working on another cool title which already looks great. I also did a lot of illustratons for Privateer Press, Paizo and Wizards of the Coast. You'll hopefully be able to see all of those stuff in 2009. 

But now, here are a couple of recent images and a sneakpeek.

This is the original cover image I did for Paizo's Planet Stories - The Dark World. You can see the actual cover design in the previous posts.

This is a portrait painting of "Arap Ihsan" from Ihsan Oktay Anar's Novel "Puslu Kitalar Atlasi". I'm not sure if he has been visualised by someone else before but don't think so... More to come on this one...

Lastly, this is the cover of "No Quarter - Issue 21" from Privateer Press. The image on the cover is an illustration I did for the book "Hordes - Metamorphosis". A bit of sneakpeek for you guys ;)

Here's a speedpainting I did for 2dartist magazine's November 2008 issue. It took about 90 mins to finish.

Planet Stories - The Dark World

Here's a cover illustration I did for Paizo's Planet Stories book series. It's called The Dark World. The typography on it is quite overwhelming but it doesn't look that bad I guess. I'll post the original illustration after the book gets published later in November.

Warmachine Legends illustrations

Here are 4 of the illustrations i did for Privateer Press back in 2007. They are about a year old and not so recent but I wanted to post them because I had alot of fun while working on them. Legends is now out so you can have a look by visiting Privateers website.

Lava and rocks

I've been sitting on this one for a long time now. Decided to finish it tonight... Lava and rocks combination. I think I like warm and cold color contrast...Anyway, enjoy!

The Expedition

Here's a new environment work I've been working on. Three guys looking at the horizon kind of cliche but I've tried to capture some interesting lighting and color contrast on this one. Not sure about the rock formations and design too. Well, anyway...

Recent characters

Here are two recent characters I've painted... First one is my interpretation of Mehmet II (Fatih). The Ottoman Sultan who conquered Istanbul. The other one is an orcish, alienish kind of Sultan. Don't know really...Both are done for practice purposes...

First Post

Ok, well...I've decided to start a blog cause I don't want to update my crappy old website with new images until I design and open a new one. So, here we go... I beleive that this blog will help me to create more personal works. I couldn't find any time to do personal stuff last year but I'm willing to change it and start to draw more often...

You'll see my most recent work and sketches here. As well as Ideas about my own projects and finished commissioned works. I love to draw Oriental themed stuff so expect to see alot of Ottoman characters and Ottoman influenced designs... Ok, here we go...

These are pretty old but would be a good start for a first post.
